STAYFLY SYDNEY 4TH BDAY
Earlier this year Stayfly Sydney launched a monthly night by the name of Badgirl Garden in collaboration with Ailie Banks and Merindah Funnell. Badgirl Garden is a space for the celebration and collaboration of talented women, where they can come to perform and be empowered by an experience of collective elevation.
“Designers Ailie Banks and Merindah Funnell created images to reflect their inner “Badgirl” and inspired the whole movement with the ability of translate their inner selves into striking images” Stayfly tells AUD’$ “They also had the amazing chance of having artists such as Mariko Konno, Lotte Smith, Styna, Sophi Odling and Sophieaye to create their images as live art during the course of the events. Now they are hungry to open the gallery stage to the Stayfly collective and embrace and learn about each artist’s “Badgirl”.
It is now time to celebrate the 4th year of the Sydney-established collective, with their iconic annual exhibition. This time titled, “BADGIRL FOREVER”.

STAYFLY SYDNEY:
Stayfly Sydney is a battalion of fierce female street artists who are carving out a space for themselves – a movement within a movement – bringing together a community of passionate women who are defining the girls corner of the urban movement and exploring Sydney’s potential as a canvas for like-minded ladies. Stayfly is a community representing female artists of different backgrounds and skills, working as a platform to create collaborations, connections and friendships.

BADGIRL GARDEN:
Badgirl Garden is a space created by a team of women smashing into the Sydney arts and music scene. Every event we create is a safe place for women, men and our LGBTIQ community to congregate, congratulate and party! We want to bring parties and events where we can all celebrate and support the up and coming female artists of every caliber. The event is a celebration of the amazing women we cross paths with and it is a showcase of talents in a space which embrace the powerful nature of women.
We invite artists to perform original tracks, and to take part to our movement. Our signatures are the decoration and installation that we set up each month which is the characteristic of the “Badgirl Garden”, a sassy vibe, red roses and gold everywhere. BadGirl Garden is a collaboration with designers Ailie Banks and Merindah Funnell, who exhibit their latest designs on the venue’s walls each month always representing different Bad Girls. Every month, to complement the experience we invite different fine artists to create designs as live art with the same theme, bringing originality and flavour to the night. Another signature of the event is the presence of the LED Hula Hoop crew LuMi Spinners who dance around the venue with fluorescent Hoops creating a graphical and mystic sensation that compliments the live music and DJ sets ✨.
