PREMIERE: GIVITIMY RAISES THE NOISE IN NEW SINGLE ‘SOUND OFF’

Givitimy celebrates his participation in the Campbelltown Arts Centre Conscious Program with its first release for 2022 titled ‘Sound Off’. Among the new cohort of Clarissa Mei, P.Smid and Saif, Givitimy follows his earlier drop this year ‘Blind Leading The Blind’ and continues to develop his solo career outside of Regular Bassis.

Mixed and mastered by BeatsWithSheph, the fierce, high-energy track showcases his sharp R&B vocal inflections and lethal lyrical ability. Now premiering on AUD’$ below, the Hypereel Movement music video is directed by Raf Flores and sees Givitimy disparage the negative misconceptions made about Arabic/Muslim communities.

“The aggressive nature of the song is directly linked with my frustration as an Egyptian male raised in South-West Sydney and always feeling unheard – whether by authorities, peers or my own family.”

Facilitated by L-FRESH The LION and the Village Boy Entertainment team, Conscious is a year-long artist development program first launched in 2019. Focused on Western Sydney talent, its past alumni include the likes of Becca Hatch, Nardean, Jessica Jade, A.Girl and T Breezy.

“We recognise the challenges of being an artist during a global pandemic and with that front of mind, Conscious provides individually tailored professional career development and will continue to get behind some of the finest emerging talent that Western Sydney has to offer.”
