YIBBY – NO SWEAT

21 year old Ethiopian / Australian emcee Yibby is back and flowing with ease across a dreamy beat in the video for recent single ‘No Sweat’. Known for lyrical intricacy, the Sydney based artist has paired with an enticing video narrative to peep below.

BLKCITY – FLYING (FT ABDUL KAI, RAIZA BIZA, MO MUSE, JESSB, BLAZE THE EMPEROR)

Hitting hard and in numbers, BLKCITY‘s ‘Flying’ is the ultimate collaboration from across the ditch and the second collaborative single of the group. From JessB to Raiza Biza each feature comes with dark explosive lyrics coupled with a gruesome and haunting asylum based music video. Usually we stick to the best of the AU but this one from NZ is too dope to miss.

GS PHANTOM – NO HOOK

“No hook, no chorus, I’m coming straight in”, GS Phantom delivers clever wordplay over a dark piano melody that is pure heat. The South-East Melbourne rapper, and GREMLNS group member has been a staple in the 3k scene for a few years, and again delivers a piece that has him at the forefront of the South-Sudanese, autotune wave that has swept the nation.

SAMI – ROBBIN HOOD

Dark, moody and real, emerging Sami delivers in his new track Robbin Hood. The first time we’ve brought you something from the Fijian / Aus talent, however with his uniquely deep vocal tome, and droning production  – it won’t be the last. The clip combines both comical and haunting elements over dark lyricism. Peep game.

DOUBLE M – AIN’T NOBODY SAY A WORD

BBG member and Melbourne local, Double M delivers rapid pace bars with a lightning video to match. M’s razor flow, and hard hitting bars reflect on life in the streets of “Burn City” in the latest clip shot by TMC Media. His compelling narrative and thirst to succeed means this up and comer is one to watch closely.

HP BOYZ – 6 TO THE WORLD

HP BOYZ bring us the video for the third single and title track from their chart topping EP. The autobiographical project portrays the journey from humble beginnings in Hampton Park to a rapid rise to fame internationally. “I feel blessed, to see my momma stress less, see all my bro’s eat best and be the best dressed”, HP BOYZ deliver an uncompromising and poingnant track that puts not only the 3976, but Australia at large on the map.

Curated by Frank Tremain, Dav Hart and Matthew Craig.
