On the Brink is a mini-documentary about new wave Hip Hop in Australia that deals with how multiculturalism and cultural isolation can breed success. By profiling the new breed of artists in the local Sydney scene, On the Brink delves into their backstories and cultural makeup, to see how their experiences have shaped the way they make music.
The profiles, leading up to a mini-doco are dropping over on Highsnobiety who “went down under to give you an up-close and personal look at a few of the rising music stars coming out of Sydney, Australia. The first episode takes a look at Miles Glyphers, an introspective rapper originally hailing from the Ivory Coast. After a tumultuous, and often dangerous upbringing, he emigrated to Australia and has found his livelihood through music ever since.”
