PASSPORT RAV – BLACK POOL PARTY
Tri-State area rapper and producer Passport Rav comes through with smooth 90s production and buttery Killer Mike like vocals and punchlines. A mellow vibe to roll up to, cooked up in quarantine. Expect to hear more from this rising talent.
FLOWERVILLIAN – THE SWIMMING BIRD
The title track off Canadian producer Flowervillian‘s recent remix EP “The Swimming Bird” sees MF DOOM vocals blended with jazz fusion beats from the anime Cowboy Bebop. Low-Fi beats to study too. Bump.
ONEGWEST – REDLIGHT
Coming out of Los Angeles is high-octane rapper OnegWest. An impressive combination of melodies and rapid-fire Yelawolf like flows. Redlight is a polished track which will be enjoyed by any serious hip-hop head.
TRIORCA – UP IN THE CLOUDS
A transatlantic band “TriOrca” is comprised of multi-instrumentalist and producer Phil Simmonds, drummer and producer David Diaz and writer/vocalist Whitney Myer. Chilled, funky and fresh, there’s elements of soulful D’Angleo like production combined with a hint of Kaiit vocals. A nice, easy listen.
