HOOLIGAN HEFS BRINGS THE PARTY TO MELBOURNE

BRINGS THE PARTY TO MELBOURNE

Thursday the 21st of November 2019 marked the beginning of Hooligan Hefs first ever headline tour of the country, the Western Sydney rapper stopping through Melbourne at a The Corner Hotel armed with his exuding charisma and 6 7 crew behind him, putting on a memorable night for the hundreds in attendance.

It all kicked of with a lively opening set from Hooks, getting the crowd moving with hits “GunFire” and “2 Smart”, but the premiering of his unreleased song with Hooligan Skinny called “Hoodlums” had the crowd at its most attentive and is definitely one to add to your playlist as soon as it drops. Hooks showed off his versatility with sounds dipping into R&B influenced tracks to grime and trap while commanding your attention with slick flows and effortless bars he is definitely one to watch out for out of Canada Bay in NSW.

The local representatives out of West Melbourne were 3K, who came out guns blazing, multiplying the energy continuing from Hooks set earlier. Starting with bangers like “Around the World in 80 Days” and “Teriyaki” before getting the crowd moving to their new single, “Aint One of Us”. The 4-man group is known for their rambunctious stage presence and rowdy mosh pits, have had a huge year including a massive showcase week at BIGSOUND, their experience meant they set the stage perfectly for Hefs.

While both Hooks and 3K had impressive opening sets, the crowd truly came alive, when their man of the moment Hooligan Hefs stepped into the spotlight. That was the moment the night transformed from a show, into a party. The roar was deafening for viral hits “No Effect” and “IYKYK (They Know Who)”the packed Corner Hotel in a total frenzy, singing and shouting along to every single word. Although it was only his first headline tour and show in Melbourne, Hefs performed with a presence well beyond his 21 years playing his unique mix of UK grime, drill and hardstyle influences to a loyal crowd who would later be seen in the streets hours after the show alongside flares and commodores blasting those same Hooligan Hefs anthems. Bringing Hooks and Hooligan Skinny back on stage to round out the show ensured the energy remained at a high till the lights turned on.

If that was only night one, it’s safe to say Hefs will be back in Melbourne before long to play more sold out shows. Probably at bigger venues. 💰
